Enhanced SNEIK V-belts (cogged) having V-shaped profile and extra transverse flexibility are designed specifically for driving hinged assemblies of the engine. The main advantage of these belts is extra flexibility, which is ensured with a special polyester cord, and this flexibility doesn’t weaken its strength.
The SNEIK V-belt is produced using a new reverse molding technology, and its V-belt tooth structure is formed by pressing inward through the external tooth mold of the rubber sleeve during the vulcanization process. This process fundamentally overcomes the shortcomings of traditional forming methods. During the original vulcanization process, the rubber material needs to flow from the inside out to fill the mold grooves, which can easily cause displacement or relaxation of the load-bearing layer ropes, thereby affecting the uniformity and stability of the belt structure.
Reverse molding technology uses an outward inward extrusion method to shape the teeth, avoiding the interference of rubber filling on the internal wire rope, so that the wire rope can always maintain a predetermined tight arrangement and accurate tension. This not only significantly improves the overall integrity of the triangular belt structure, making it more evenly stressed, but also effectively reduces internal stress loss and deformation during operation. Therefore, this technology can effectively improve the transmission efficiency of the V-belt and significantly extend its service life.
